She began her acupuncture training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine ranked #2 amongst all acupuncture schools in the United States. During her time in school, Laura completed internships at University of California San Diego and a clinic that provided free acupuncture to military Veterans and their families. She graduated from school in August 2015 with her masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM). She is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Iowa Board of Medicine to practice acupuncture in the state.

Laura believes that the mind and emotions play an integral factor in the development and resolution of illness. Her goals as a health care provider is to inform people about the connection between the mind and body and educated her patients about the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
